The history of Market Deeping

Since the 13thcentury, Market Deeping’s market has been held, giving the town its name. The market still continues to take place every Wednesday, keeping the town’s tradition intact.
Market Deeping and the surrounding Deepings area continued to develop throughout the following centuries, with the building of St Guthlac’s Church in the 15thcentury.
